Dr. Wenjun Lu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specializing in cold climate engineering and ice–structure interaction, ice mechanics, ice modelling and ice fracture mechanics. His academic background spans a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from NTNU, an MSc in Coastal and Marine Engineering and Management from NTNU/TU Delft/University of Southampton. His research focuses on computational mechanics, fracture and damage modeling of ice, sea-ice interactions with structures, ice dynamics modelling and general cold climate engineering.
