Prof. Jiang is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, Central South University (CSU).
He currently serves as the President of Hunan University of Science and Technology and the Vice Director of the National Engineering Research Center for High-Speed Railway Construction Technology. He has been recognized as a Changjiang Distinguished Professor, Leading Talent of the National Ten Thousand Talents Program, and Leader of the National Key Innovation Team in Key Fields, among other honors.
Prof. Jiang’s primary research focuses on seismic resistance and disaster mitigation of railway engineering structures. He has led more than 100 research projects at the national and provincial levels, published over 300 high-quality academic papers, and authored five monographs. Throughout his career, Prof. Jiang has received numerous prestigious awards. These include two Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one Second Prize of the National Technological Invention Award, one Second Prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, one First Prize of the Ministry of Education Science and Technology Progress Award, six First Prizes of the Hunan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, one First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Invention Award, and two Special/First Prizes from the China Railway Society.
In addition, he was awarded the Mao Yisheng Youth Science and Technology Award in 2005, selected for the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education in 2006, received the Zhan Tianyou Youth Science and Technology Achievement Award in 2007, recognized as a Scientific and Technological Leading Talent of Hunan Province in 2012, and honored with the Zhan Tianyou Science and Technology Achievement Award in 2022.
