Advancing the Frontiers of Risk Sciences: Call for Editorial Board Members

Risk Sciences, is now inviting applications to join its Editorial Board. We seek to expand our board with dynamic scholars and practitioners who are passionate about shaping the future of risk science.

We welcome applications from experts across all domains of Risk Science, including but not limited to environmental, engineering, financial, health, safety, and societal risk. In line with the evolving landscape of the field, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Reliability & Quality, and Emerging Risk Modeling, as we receive an increasing number of submissions in these areas.

Role and Expectations of Editorial Board Members

Successful candidates will serve a two-year term (2026-2027) and will be integral to the journal's growth and academic rigor. Key responsibilities include:

  •  Ambassadorship: Promote Risk Sciences within your professional networks and at academic conferences to enhance its visibility and attract high-quality submissions.
  • Strategic Guidance: Provide counsel to the Editor-in-Chief and Area Editors on journal development, emerging trends, and long-term strategic direction.
  • Editorial Oversight: Conduct timely peer reviews for submitted manuscripts or recommend qualified reviewers to uphold the journal's standards of excellence.
  • Contribution to Journal Initiatives: Participate in the selection of annual Best Paper awards and contribute to special issues or thematic collections when invited.
  • Community Engagement: Attend the Risk Sciences Annual Meeting when feasible to foster collaboration and discuss the journal's evolution.
