We asked one of our editors and reviewers for a final thought on peer review and here's what he had to say...

“Participating in the peer review process is arguably the most important role we as scientists undertake. Without peer review, there are no checks on the validity of the methods, results and conclusions reported in scientific papers. However, pressed for time we are, we should always find time for it.”
