Il Won Suh, a postdoctoral researcher at Jeonbuk National University, specializes in the integration of biomaterials and biomechanical simulations to optimize the synthesis and fabrication of materials and medical devices. His research further extends to the biomechanical optimization of surgical treatments for orthopedic injuries. Dr. Suh has actively conducted research at Jeonbuk National University, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, leading to numerous high-impact publications, patent applications, and technology licenses to industry. His work has been supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of South Korea, and featured multiple times in the media. He is a pioneer in the biomechanical evaluation of surgical techniques and in exploring the synergistic healing effects of composite biomaterials.
