Wei Li is a professor at Beijing Forestry University, focusing on the seed orchard approach of efficient forest breeding, carried out molecular mechanism of conifer sex conversion, fine management of conifer seed orchard, and precise seed production of conifer trees. He has made certain progress in screening and functional identification of key genes regulating cone sex of Pinus tabuliformis, Clone arrangements in seed orchard based on kinship, and construction theory of higher generation seed orchard of Pinus tabuliformis.
