Advancements in Mine Safety– 7th ISMSSE

Published 27 April, 2025

Introduction

Personnel, equipment and operational safety are essential to the sustainability of industrial development.  This Special Issue (SI) focuses on the latest advances in mine safety, a field that has seen significant progress over the past two decades. Innovations in mine safety tools and technologies, together with updated regulations, have greatly improved the safety in mining environments.

This SI originates from the 7th International Symposium of Mine Safety Science and Engineering, held in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, from October 17 to 22, 2024. Authors of select outstanding presentations are invited to contribute to this SI. All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous double-blind review process prior to acceptance.

To submit your paper, please follow the submission guidelines and indicate that your submission is intended for the special issue on “Advancements in Mine Safety– 7th ISMSSE”. We look forward to your contributions.

Once accepted, your manuscript will proceed to production and be published simultaneously both in the current regular issue and as part of the online Special Issue. While the articles may appear across different regular issues, they will be clearly marked and grouped under the Special Issue theme.
