The Journal of Management Science and Engineering (JMSE) is an international, peer-reviewed, scholarly journal that publishes scientific research on the latest developments and practices of management science and engineering, emphasizing modeling, optimization, computation, and data analytics for identifying and solving management problems, making business decisions, and managing risks in complex management systems.
JMSE strives to stimulate research resulting from the interconnection of technological disruption, the changing atlas of the global economy, and the current common challenges of human beings. This journal serves the entire management science and engineering community, including researchers, practitioners, educators, and students. We encourage studies addressing research questions based on management and business practice, works focusing on new management topics originating from social and technology advancement, and interdisciplinary research and cross-functional studies on management and business. Both empirical and theoretical contributions are welcome.

The Science Press was officially established on 1 August 1954. It is the core member of China Science Publishing Group and also the largest comprehensive sci-tech publishing organization in China.
The Company owns a number of national key journals such as Science China Press and Science Bulletin (collectively called "Two Journals" for short) and National Science Review. Of these journals, National Science Review is a high-end comprehensive academic journal whose latest impact factor reaches 8.843, comfortably ranking fifth among multi-disciplinary comprehensive journals in the world. In addition, the Company also owns a variety of other high-level and high-quality journals. Currently, the Company publishes more than 300 titles of journals per year, of which 70 are in English language, 47 are included in Science Citation Index, 53 are included in EI. Therefore, the Company's journal portfolio is also honored as the "National Team" in China's sci-tech journal publishing area.
National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) was established on February 14, 1986. Upon its establishment, NSFC was an institution directly under the jurisdiction of the State Council, tasked with the administration of the National Natural Science Fund from the Central Government. In 2018, it become managed by the Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST) but kept its due independence in operation. NSFC is responsible for directing, coordinating and making effective use of the national natural science fund to support basic research and stimulate free exploration, identify and foster scientific talents, as well as to promote progress in science and technology and the harmonious socioeconomic development for the nation. NSFC encourages international cooperation and exchange in basic research. It has signed 93 Cooperative Agreements or MoUs with partners in 49 countries and regions.
Tianjin University is a National Key University directly under the administration of the Ministry of the Education, and its history can be traced back to Peiyang University, the first modern university in China, which was founded on October 2, 1895. It was renamed Tianjin University after the nationwide restructuring of colleges and departments in 1951. In 1959, Tianjin University was identified as one of the first batch of the 16 National Key Universities designated by the government, and it is also among the first group of institutions of higher learning to be included into the "211" and "985" Projects of national investment for developing world class universities. During the past years, Tianjin University has made significant contributions to economic and social development, which must be due to its cultivation of a large number of high-level talents, and its outstanding achievements.
