Field: The Lewis Lab has long been engaged in the study of diabetic dyslipidemia—including postprandial lipids, reduced HDL, and hypertriglyceridemia—as well as the metabolic effects of free fatty acids on insulin action and secretion. Dr. Lewis is currently investigating the mechanisms of intestinal lipid mobilization and lipoprotein secretion through integrative physiological studies in both human and animal models.
