Next Generation Secondary Batteries

Published 24 July, 2019

Lithium ion batteries have attracted much attention due to their environmental benignity, high energy density and wide-ranging practical applications. Next generation secondary battery systems bring extra benefits, including larger specific capacity, higher energy density and lower costs, which has made them a popular research topic. This special issue will feature the latest original research into next generation secondary batteries.

Topics Covered

Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • New electrode/separator/electrolyte designs for lithium sulfur batteries
  • Lithium oxygen batteries
  • Sodium ion batteries
  • Potassium ion batteries
  • Zinc ion batteries
