Supramolecular Biomaterials
Published 21 August, 2023
Introduction:
Supramolecular interactions commonly exist in the biological system. They play an important role in the regulation of the bio-functions of biomacromolecules. This special issue will present the state-of-the-art research on the development of biomaterials through supramolecular interactions. These include van der Waals forces, π-π stacking, hydrogen bonding, metal-ligand coordination, electrostatic interactions, host-guest interactions, together with the applications in drug/gene delivery, tissue engineering and cancer therapy.
We also welcome submissions on the relationship between materials properties and supramolecular interactions, in vitro and in vivo safety and degradation behavior of supramolecular biomaterials.
Topics covered:
- Drug/gene delivery
- Tissue Engineering
- Biomimetic materials
- Biosafety and degradation of biomaterials
- Bio-interaction
- Light-based (PDT, PTT) therapy
- Cancer therapy
Important Deadlines:
- Submission deadline: 31 December 2023
