Special issue on clinical application of Bioactive Materials for preventing and treating oral and craniofacial diseases
Published 12 July, 2021
This special issue will present state-of-the-art research on the translation of bioactive materials for the prevention and treatment of oral and craniofacial diseases. It will also explore digital revolutions in clinical diagnosis, prognostic assessment and outcome evaluations of oral and craniofacial diseases following the application of bioactive materials. In addition, we are interested in submissions that look at the interactions occurring between bioactive biomaterials and cells and tissues in the oral and craniofacial environment.
Topics Covered:
- Clinical studies on the applications of bioactive materials for preventing and treating oral and craniofacial diseases
- Translation of biomaterials for enhanced oral and craniofacial health care
- Digital strategies and artificial intelligence in the diagnosis, prognostic assessment and outcome evaluation of oral and craniofacial diseases after application of bioactive materials
- Investigations into interactions occurring between bioactive biomaterials and cells and tissues in the oral and craniofacial environment
- Fabrication of antimicrobial agents and associated delivery systems using bioactive materials
- Evaluation and application of novel strategies for eradicating multi‐species oral biofilms
Important Deadlines:
- Submission deadline: 31 August 2022
