The Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts (J.Bioresour.Bioprod.) is published by Nanjing Forestry University (NFU), co-published by the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and the Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division of the Chinese Chemical Society. JB&B seeks to promote research on all aspects pertaining to the conversion of forest bioresources into biomaterials, biochemicals, bio-based nanomaterials and application, and bio-based stimuli materials for intelligent application, including fundamental, applied, and engineering research. The journal publishes Original research papers, reviews, mini reviews, Editorial, Letter to the Editor, Commentary, Method, Opinions that are of high quality, high interest, and far-reaching consequence. Articles submitted to JB&B should reflect one of the following 8 themes:

  • Cultivation and characterization of renewable biomass
  • Structure-property relationships between forest bioproducts and engineered wood products
  • Renewable bioresource production and processes
  • Isolation, modification and utilization of cellulose, hemicelluloses, and lignin
  • Conversion of renewable bioresources into biomaterials, biochemicals, biofuel, and bioenergy
  • Bio-based smart and functional materials for a variety of applications
  • Fundamentals and applications of nanocellulose, bio-based nanomaterials and biocomposites
  • Emerging pulp and paper technologies

Nanjing Forestry University (NJFU), founded in 1902, has gone through a history of over 120 years and has made a long-standing commitment to diversity. It has been developed into a comprehensive institution of higher learning in China, integrating science, engineering, agriculture, liberal arts, management, economics, philosophy and law, with a special emphasis on forest resources, forestry engineering and environmental sciences. With its outstanding achievements in disciplines, NJFU has been listed as one of the "Double First-Class" University Project of China.
NJFU has long focused on the independent innovation, and possesses a National Engineering Center of Biologic Materials for Mechanical Products Packing, and 49 R&D research institutions, key labs and engineering research centers, among which are the Key Open Laboratory of Forest Genetics and Biotechnology, the Research Center of Forest Tree Seed in South China. There are also 66 university-based research institutions and centers.
NJFU attaches great importance to internationalization and takes an active role in developing open education and international exchange cooperation. NJFU has established long-term cooperative relationships in academic research, teacher training and talent exchange with dozens of universities and scientific research institutions from 30 countries.
NJFU (Nanjing Forestry University) has 22 schools and 42 departments. Journal Department is an institution subordinate to NJFU. It is primarily responsible for the publication of Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts and other journals.
