Special Issue Call for Papers: Bioactive Composites

We invite you to submit your paper for consideration to the Bioactive Composites special issue before 31 August 2017.

Compared to homogeneous materials, composites containing two or more distinct constituent materials or phases on a microscopic or macroscopic size scale possess a variety of advantages, including the capability to control material properties toward better bioactivity. Recently, there has been increasing interest in developing new bioactive composites and exploring their applications. The unique ability of bioactive composites to act as functional substrates or devices which can interact with a wide range of biological entities constitutes the motivation behind the special issue titled Bioactive Composites. This special issue aims to present the latest achievements in the design and fabrication of bioactive composites that induce adequate material-cell or material-biological tissue responses. Original research articles and review articles that showcase the emerging importance of bioactive composites and their ability to interact with the cells and biological tissues are welcome. Special preference will be given to articles that elucidate the interactions or relationships between bioactive composites and living organisms.

Yours sincerely,
