Bo Yu, distinguished professor of the Changjiang Scholars Program in China, is a full professor at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology (BIPT). He received his PhD from Xi‘san Jiaotong University in 1999, China. Prior to joining BIPT, he worked at Kyushu University as a postdoctoral fellow, at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology of Japan as a special research associate and at China University of Petroleum as a full professor. His major research interests focus on petroleum storage and transportation, computational heat transfer and turbulent drag-reducing flow. He has published more than 120 refereed international journal papers, two textbooks and two monographs, and given over 20 conference keynote speeches. He has also received eight national and provincial Natural Science and Science & Technology Progress Awards.
