Osbert Sun is a full professor in Forest Ecology and Ecosystem Sciences at Beijing Forestry University, China. His research interest and specialties include forest carbon sequestration and broad-scale forest dynamics and ecosystem processes influenced by global change factors and management intervention. Current areas of research focus on the underlying mechanisms of forest soil organic carbon formation, transformation and stability, and the spatial patterns and controls of the interrelationships between forest productivity and regulatory ecosystem services.
