Timo Pukkala’s studies deal with the carbon sequestration of forests and wood products, continuous cover forestry, and responsibility of forest management. His other research topics include growth and yield modelling, optimization methods in forestry, and assessment of the externalities of timber production. Prof. Timo Pukkala retired from the University of Eastern Finland in 2022, and is currently advisor at the Forest Technology Centre of Catalonia.
